Cranberry Scones

Cranberries are never in season here.  But sometimes I crave scones, and I am particularly fond of cranberries. I make this recipe fairly often, but these pictures date back to Christmas 2009!? Guess I am a bit behind…

The first Christmas I was married, J and I decided to spend it just the two of us. We had a yummy pork loin for dinner and then I made these scones for brunch. They were amazing!

Here they are all lined up on the baking sheet.

Delicious cranberries soaked in sugar.
Tangy lemon zest from lemons I found on our street.

And here is a beautiful rose J got me which decorated our table.

    At a cafe as my friend and I were picking away at the same cranberry scone the other day, she asked me if they were hard to make. I said no, but thought to myself, I never have recovered a good cran-scone recipe. Thank you for the good timing and the recipe.
