Caramel Cinnamon Rolls

I’m not a big fan of breakfast items, but I love cinnamon rolls.  My absolute favorite are the iced kind as I am a big fan of cream cheese icing.  But caramel is also delicious, so I decide to give these a shot.

They were yummy, but a little too gooey and sweet.  Is that even possible!?    They are best served hot with the sauce all melty as they tend to get too chewy as they come to room temp.  The nuts are a nice touch, but I would definitely add more next time.   In any case they certainly look impressive and would make a nice addition to any brunch.

Would I make them again? Sure.  But only on request.  For myself, I think I’ll stick to the frosted kind.

Dough rising.  Brains?

Yummy, yummy caramel.  My favorite part of the process was licking the excess caramel out of the saucepan.

Second rising…

All nice and puffy after baking.  Pre-inversion onto the serving platter.

All done!

The recipe can be found here at Taste of Home.
